Cast iron panels are available in either round or square designs (on some styles). Most of these come with operable tabs that allow these parts to be incorporated into your existing project. Cast iron can be fragile if dropped. Care must be taken when packing these products for transport. Manufacturers prefer cast iron because most of these designs are used as decorative pieces and almost always require welding.
Although most cast iron is welded and then powder coated; all cast iron panels are available in the following powder coated finishes.
Flat Black (matte black)
Wrinkle Black (textured black with a slight sheen)
Oil Rub Bronze (gritty, dark)
Pewter Vein (light grey, dented like a sparkler)
Gold Vein (gold with black flecks for a shinier look and feel)
Gunmetal (dark grey, smooth)
Clear Coat (just a clear coat to give the spindle a rustic look underneath. Shows metallic imperfections)
Semi Gloss Black (shiny smooth black)
Silver Grain (silver, smooth and shiny, with black flecks)
Stat Bronze (dark brown, smooth, shiny feel)
The additional cost of powder coating depends on the design size and colour choice. Add character to your project and choose your own colours to complement your decor!
